Nice place to get a taste of dry fish, shark and other delicious foods and candy. Also if you want to buy the famous lopapeysa (icelandic wool sweater) this place probably has the best prices.

If you are ever on the hunt for eccentric Reykjavík oddballs, Kolaportið Flea Market on a Saturday afternoon is probably your best bet. You will also find families looking to pass some time, old ladies in fur coats, hipsters looking for second hand clothing and tourists looking at all the others…

Reykjavik's only market is a place worth experiencing. Here you can buy new and old items, music, food and Icelandic delicacy like dry fish and liquorice. Open weekends, 11-17.

Kolaportið is the city's weekend flea market. You can find both useful and useless stuff to take back home from your stay here. Also, they usually offer a selection of fresh seafood and wind-dried fish.
