- Located in Villasimius a famous tourist resort in the south-east of the island, a long stretch of soft, very light sand, with pink hues deriving from granite fragments, enclosed between a lagoon and the blue sea voted one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy by Trip Advisor users. - There are kiosks and restaurants available in and near the beach. *About an hour away by car, but definitely worth the drive!

Porto Giunco Beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy and is located a few kilometers from the Municipality of Villasimius, southeast of Sardinia. On the right side of the beach, on a promontory, stands an ancient Spanish watchtower of the sixteenth century reachable through an easy path that starts from the beach and on which you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view. The beach of fine white sand is very extensive, the shallow waters and the crystal clear sea allow memorable and relaxing baths. The central part of the beach is also called Notteri for the presence of the pond of Notteri, habitat of pink flamingos. On the left side, a small cove framed by pinkish granite rocks takes the name of Timi Ama as the resort that stands nearby.
