Tips from locals
This used to be the city jail, turned into a historical museum about Belize, with Mayan artifacts, and other collections from Lifelong Belizeans.
A great stop to learn a bit of history and see a few old pictures of the City for a small fee. The building itself is very historic as it once used to be a prison facility. A small local restaurant that sells good food is right around the corner called Senor Coconuts.
Through mostly photography, The Museum of Belize, which is a 5 minute drive from here, offers a comprehensive overview of how the little colony of British Honduras came to be Belize.
