Tips from locals
The Irish Jewish Museum was once in the heartland of “Little Jerusalem,” a densely populated Jewish enclave off the South Circular Road. Although small in scale, the Museum is a unique and favourite destination for tourists from all over the world, the interest in the museum is growing rapidly and last year it had about 10,000 visitors.
Jewish history in Ireland (Portobello was once a strongly Jewish area in the 19th/early 20th century)
Fascinating museum about Jewish Ireland, just around the corner in the middle of Portobello, which was once known as "Little Jerusalem".
Located in an old synagogue, in the former Jewish area of the city. Visit to learn about Jews in Dublin & Ireland. Can be reached by a lovely stroll on the canal from Leeson Street Bridge through Portobello
