Out of all the community gardens in the East Village, this is my favorite. It's coiffed and pruned and boasts and adorable little treehouse with a lounge and plenty of reading material. The latest addition: a big bullfrog in the fish pond.
This is the most planned and beautiful of many community gardens in the area. Open to the public on the weekends. Has a couple little ponds, picnic tables, and best of all, a little treehouse that holds a sweet library.
This is a community garden that feels like a secret hideaway in the middle of the city. Look for the treehouse. If you're hungry, get a Pho sandwich at the convenience store on the corner.
Check out the adorable tree house, wander through the manicured flower arches or hang out on a stone bench and eat your lunch in a whimsical setting.
