The little museum attached to this place has incredibly friendly staff, great visitor tips, a fun gift shop, and interesting exhibits. Best part: it's free! AND there is plenty of parking, river access, and all kinds of cool outdoor historical exhibits. Highly recommended, especially for families.

Hotel is closed but but you can walk the grounds . Recently restored the Inn was a gristmill and the reason the Medina River on our property is damed up.

Castroville was one of the very first cities to have electricity because of the water mill on site that was converted to generate power. The original hotel is still operated there and had a "facelift" in 2016.
