The Canal has a Bike path / walking path. There are also benches along the way to sit and watch the boats go by. It is also a great place for fishing, anglers often pull stripers in from shore. Pro tip, make sure you have a fishing license and are up on your size regulations as the area is very heavily patrolled and there are hefty fines if caught.
