About this place
Housed in a cozy yellow cottage (ca. 1908) in Venice, Barrique is a rustic Italian restaurant with Michelin-starred chef Antonio Mure at the helm. House-made pastas are his specialty and the most unique among them is a red beet tagliolini with marsala quail ragu on a bed of taleggio fondue. Venetian plaster walls shine in the candlelit dining room, and tabletops made of vintage wine crates add to the romantic ambiance.

Located in a two-story yellow cottage on a quiet part of Main Street in Venice, Barrique has low lighting, candles on tables, and a general air of Let’s Get It On. If the highly romantic interior terrifies you too much, there are also a handful of tables on the small balcony.
