The Royal Dramatic Theatre (Swedish: Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern or Dramaten) is Sweden's national stage for "spoken drama", founded in 1788. Around one thousand shows are put on annually on the theatre's eight running stages.

The Royal Dramatic Theatre is a very beautiful building and keeps high quality. Recommended if you enjoy theatre, but check online beforehand as very few plays will likely be in English. Either way, the building is worth passing by to look at, plus they have a terrace bar with a great view.
The most prestigious theatre in the country. Full of history and fantastic surroundings. Unmissable roof terrace Cafe Bar!
All tickets are 100sek for people under 26! And they have really good prices for last minute seats.
Stockholms Dramatical Theatre - worth a visit just to check int he fasade. Some shows in English (Carlsson on the roof 2016). Tickets to same night shows sold at 50% discount 1 hr before show starts. www.dramaten.se
