An expansive lawn area with tall palms and kiawe trees providing plenty of shade adorn the park, with lots of lush grass to go along with the small pockets of sand on the beach. It’s quiet here and almost never crowded. Like most Kona beaches, Pahoehoe Beach is a comfortable place for a picnic or to simply sit and watch the surf. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the park.

A small rocky beach allows access from this nice park onto the reef - great spot for intermediate scuba and snorkeling. No lifeguard. Freshwater showers and port-a-pottys.
Best spot in Kona to chill and relax in a hammock, watch the sunset, do picnics, or do yoga. The turtles love to come to take naps on the shore. :)
