This is a great place to drive and start a walk in the forest. The visitor centre has lots of interesting local and nature information. There's a pub at the top of High Beech too so if you want to grab a bite after you're walk, it's easy.

High Beach Forest Centre, situated at a traditional Epping Forest beauty spot, is a great place to picnic and an ideal stop on your way through the Forest.

Natural Feature
“The River Lee goes down to the Thames but you can join it from Victoria Park (follow the canal under the A12 and turn left when you get to the Olympic Park). The river goes through the wonderful Hackney and Walthamstow marshes where you can feel like you are in the wild. It also goes through the newly opened wetlands where lots of wildlife congregates around the reservoirs. ”

Establishment
“also would recommend going wondering around here. It's a disused Victorian water filtering and distribution station. I'm not sure about the golf centre if they actually have it. I've never seen it.”
