Andy's has been around for 40+ years. It's a diner--great for breakfast & late-night snacks. Least expensive breakfast in the neighborhood (no alcohol served). Located nearby on17th Street at Castro & Market.

“Local eatery at southwest corner of 18th and Castro that is named after Harvey Milk. The food is hit-or-miss, but that corner provides some very entertaining people-watching! ”

American Restaurant
“Wonderful comfort food--great fried chicken! The best seating is upstairs in the bar--very cozy. If you can, get a table by the window. One of the best Halloweens in the Castro I ever spent was at Eureka, gazing at the revelers below. Entrees between $15-$40, as I recall.”

Italian Restaurant
“We are good friends with the bartender, Gaby, and have been coming here for years. Small second-floor restaurant with great Italian food in the heart of the Castro. Reservations are suggested but not required.”

Dim Sum Restaurant
“Solid neighborhood dim sum spot without having to go downtown or to the Richmond. If you absolutely love dim sum and consider yourself a dim sum ordering expert though, the trip outside of the Castro is worth it. ”

Wine Bar
“After work on Thursday or Friday I often meet friends at Blush for a glass or two. It is very comfortable, lovely knowledgeable staff, and you can have a conversation without yelling. Live jazz Thursdays.”
