Owner and wine director Julia Battaglini opened Secco Wine Bar in 2010 in Carytown after a successful 15 year-long run of her wine and gourmet shop River City Cellars. Secco believes that drinking the good stuff is a natural right, and proudly serves a wide array of small-production, terroir-driven Old World wines alongside classic and house cocktails, imported and local craft beers, Lamplighter coffee, and Carytown Teas brewed to order. All of these flowing potables are anchored around a menu from executive chef Julie Heins, where seasonal ingredients, farmstead cheeses, traditional charcuterie and house-made everything are worked into a wide selection of pan-Mediterranean, wine-friendly dishes.
