The ancient capital of Mercia, Tamworth Castle is a lovely place to visit. It's packed with history and will take a couple of hours to see properly. It's located next to a really great playground it's a short walk from the Snowdome and bowling alley. Take some bread to feed the ducks on the river Tame.
