This has got a very good Formula One Museum and the track has recently been upgraded and hosts World Superbikes and MotoGP as well as the perrennial Download Festival.

As well as a famous motorsport venue, Donington is also celebrated as the host of the Download rock festival, which attracts tens of thousands of music fans each year. The venue also holds a wide variety of exhibitions, shows and other music concerts all year round.

So many events are held at Donnington Park, keep an eye out for what’s happening and use the cottage as your base. A 10-15 minute walk from the main entrance or 2 minute car journey and you’ll be right in the thick of the action. Then when you need to recharge head back to glorious Wilson, get a drink and some delicious home cooked food in the Bulls Head Pub before retiring to your comfortable cottage ready to repeat it all again!
