This is a wonderful Hudson Valley city to visit! Kingston was the first capital of New York State and has some wonderful restaurants, book stores, and other places to visit.
It is very beautiful and historic, with some remaining buildings dating back to pre-Revolutionary war era. There is a lot to learn and you can find a tour guide who will take you on a walking tour. There are a good handful of excellent restaurants to choose from.
