Tips from locals
Well-known for its fried chicken and fried rice. Good spot if you can't decide where to eat and is somewhat closeby. Only downside is there is no A/C.
The original Side Street Inn is a local institution - Bourdain seemed to agree when he visited, rest his soul.
A hybrid dive bar / restaurant -- this is a rare win-win, big portions AND super delicious. Dishes are very locals-oriented, so think pan-Asian dishes and lots of meat

“Salsa on Wednesdays with Sons of Caribe, live music, salsa lessons early. Friday nights, commences with '60's music, then '70's, '80's, '90's ending with hiphop for the younger crowd. Saturday's is more top 40. Great fun place to dance.”

“This restaurant, located somewhat unpredictably in the Inspiration Design Center on the second floor, also houses a Wine Bar. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, both of which will leave you smiling! A bit more upscale than most of the places listed here. ”
