Beautiful ski resort in the summer. Lake with lots of water activities, shopping, markets, supermarket.

Find Madame Odile in her shop of the same name in the Tignes Val Claret town square (not in Tignes le Lac), for an excellent laundry drop-off service. If you're budget-conscious, a self-service laundrette is in the mini-mall through the door to the right of the Odile shop.

10 mins to Tignes Les Brevieres, 25 to Tignes le Lac. With the glacier of Grande Motte, Tignes offers miles of pistes and excellent skiing for all levels. Links with Val d'Isere to form Espace Killy.
