Route
“A butt-kicker hike, but worth it! High elevation gain so be prepared. Dogs allowed on the trail. Recommend that all dogs wear boots due to shale and long hike can damage pads on feet. Leave early and carry plenty of water. 360 degree views at summit of Lake Tahoe and many many alpine lakes and mountains.”

“A great ski area less than a mile away. Reasonable rates for lift tickets and family oriented.”

“If you have a chance go over to Cave Rock. even just in the parking lot is absolute stunning view right down by the water. You can also go up the road and park and hike up to the peak of the rock and its breathtaking. Even being a local I frequent the top of cave rock just to relax and take in the panoramic views of Lake Tahoe! ”
