Tips from locals
Great place to see local desert animals. They put on a nice light show during the holiday season
Start your day seeing Safari animals. The cheetah run, feeding giraffes and camel ride are highlights for everyone! Fun for the whole family. Go early during warmer months.
Great place to visit for a few hours if you're interested in desert plants and animals! Kid and adult friendly.
A really beautiful local zoo. It's easy to get around, has great hiking trails attached, and has an amazing array of different animals with zookeeper chats and interactions! My parents and I go walk around almost every time they are here.
Perfect for a morning stroll with the kids! You can feed the Garriafs! Pack a lunch and take a hike along their hiking trails.
Rated 10 Best Zoos in the US by Condé Nast Traveler. Family-friendly zoo and gardens specializing in the deserts of the world.

“The Nest....what to say about The Nest. Well it's surprisingly become one of the nightlife hot spots, outside of Palm Springs which has much more to offer. You will see a mixture of white-haired folks in addition to local kids. This Palm Desert bar is notorious for it's older ladies trying to get younger men, but overall the place is a hoot if you're trying to experience some nightlife without making the drive to Palm Springs.”
