Tips from locals
The Frank Gehry-designed building looks like a smashed guitar from above, while inside, its colorful exhibits cover everything from the history of indie video games and horror films to Nirvana, the Seahawks, and more.
The Museum of Pop Culture has sprawling exhibits (including some that are interactive) featuring many of pop culture's finest contributions. My personal favorites from prior exhibits included Star Trek, David Bowie, and Jim Henson.
With rotating music exhibits, stage you can be a rock star on and cool bars, an amazing place.
We love the Museum of Pop Culture! Housed in a Frank Gehry-designed building (read: crazy folding waves of metal), the MoPOP is tons of fun - there's something for everyone. Exhibits range from Seattle's rock idols to fantasy/sci-fi icons.
