Lovely arty wee place with good independent shops, stunning walks along the river and really good delis and tearooms. One of my favourite places to go! For young kids, the Beatriz Potter exhibition at Birnam Arts Centre is really good.

Dunkeld Village is only 3 miles from Laundry Cottage and offers a wealth of fabulous views and sightseeing delights, gorgeous bakeries and restaurants, the famous cathedral and a wonderful golf course. Something for everyone.

A beautiful and historic small town by the River Tay in Perthshire. It's just on the edge of the Highlands and the views are really impressive. There is plenty to see in the town and pubs by the river for a lovely lunch - there are also plenty of walking routes if you're feeling more ambitious. …

Is a beautiful old little town on the river Tay. Really easy to get in 30 min by train or by car. It has so much to offer. Fantastic pubs and restaurants, best bakery (Arran's Bakery) in Perthshire, beautiful scenery wherever you look and amazing walks with great scenery. There are hills all around…
