Tips from locals
The lively harbour town of Oban is definitely worth a look. Climb up to mcCaig's Tower for lovely island views. Visit the harbour front and take in the comings and goings of the many ferries. And have a bite in any of the eateries specializing in local seafood.
Oban is the nicest town on the west coast. It has lots of restaurants and cafes as well as shops and supermarkets. It is the busiest passenger ferry port in Scotland. It wraps around Oban Bay and has lovely views out to some of the islands. You get great sunsets from the esplanade.
Full of great attractions, whisky shops, ferry trips to the isles and fresh seafood restaurants
