Walk along the boardwalk off Front Street. Enjoy the shops and check out the beautiful boats in the sweet little port.

In NC, it's pronounced "BO furt". Waterfront dining, tons of shops, ice cream etc. A nice change of scenery. Roughly 35 minutes by car.

You can spend a lot of time here enjoying the cute shops and boutiques, cafes, restaurants, bars, bakeries, museum, and antique shops. Downtown Beaufort is the beat with it being one street on the water! You can enjoy watching the boats come in, buy a ticket to shackleford island and see the wild horses or enjoy the island, or rent a kayak to take to shackleford island.

Beaufort is a lovely town in and the county seat of Carteret County, North Carolina, United States. Established in 1713 and incorporated in 1723, Beaufort is the fourth oldest town in North Carolina. There are quite a few options for water front dining and nice shops.
