Vibrant fishing village at the mouth of the Teign Estuary. Visit The Clipper run by Claire and Peter French, right on the beach for breakfast, lunch, dinner or simply a coffee. They are local farmers that are trying to produce as much as they possibly can for The Clipper from their farm in Stokeinteignhead. If you drive along the coast road from Torquay to Shaldon you will see their farm on the left as you drive past Labrador Bay. Also don’t miss the Ness Beach accessed through the Smugglers’ tunnel.. I’m sure this would have many tales to tell! There is also a Zoo! And Cafe ODE provides great food, with their own micro-brewery on site.

"A mix of shingle and sand, this beach shelves gently and is popular with families. There are shops and cafés nearby. Shaldon Beach is adjacent to the red cliffs that shelter the village and is accessed through a small tunnel, called the smugglers’ tunnel. There are striking views of Teignmouth and the Teign Estuary and there is a ferry service between Shaldon and Teignmouth. Seals are occasionally seen from here."
