This restaurant is a fusion of indigenous and modern food this fusion is what gives this restaurant its trademark. It is pet friendly, they also have a wide selection of mezcal and beers.

Best salads in town..They have a vegetarian menu everyday for lunch ( Monday to Friday-10 usd). The service tend to be slow but the food worth it! Try their beer.

UPDATE: SEEMS TO BE CLOSED FOR NOW. Reliably mellow ambience and delicious food, close to Parque Llano (a good place for people-watching afterward) and to the Oaxaca Lending Library. I'm a fan of the portobello dish and the salads are always good. The patio is pleasant (in the rainy season you may want insecticide to keep the no-see-'ems from your ankles - just ask for some at the bar).

The food at this courtyard café is traditional—except a few touches here and there that make it seem you've stumbled on some unknown cuisine. There's the standard beef smothered with mole, for example, but this version adds the pungent flavor of goat cheese. And the ice cream for dessert comes in tantalizing flavors, such as mezcal. A retractable screen above the courtyard makes this a great retreat even on a rainy day. The cocktails here are good, too—it's a great place to sample mezcals.
