One month, it was the Never Too Much: red velvet ice cream with red velvet Oreos, red velvet KitKat pieces, and red velvet cake pieces. Another time, it was Jailhouse Rock: banana ice cream, peanut butter swirl, and bacon pieces. Mikey’s can prepare any of their ice cream flavors to be lactose free, gluten free, or vegan upon request.

The guy who started this incredible ice cream shop (original shop is further downtown), was a former incarcerated man who turned his life around and pursued his passion in ice cream. A quote from the owner, Mikey Cole: “A few years ago my mother got sick. I promised her I wouldn’t be locked up anymore and doing the wrong things,” Cole explains. “Ice cream was just something that came into my life at a time when I didn’t really know what I was doing."
