This is also a must-see. Enjoy a stunning ride up to the summit of Mt. Howard where you can see all of Wallowa County and Wallowa Lake. Breathtaking views. There is also a restaurant, The Summit Grill, at the top.

They have a great Summit Grill at the top of the mountain w yummy casual fare including a tasting flight of great local brews. You can spend the day but bring a light jacket it can be chilly at the top. One of the best of our county attractions!

Somewhat spendy, but really amazing views and decent summit restaurant. Worth the money!

Still the steepest tramway in North America. It rises from 3700 feet at the station near the south end of Wallowa Lake to 8250 feet. There is a network of beautiful hiking trails plus what is said to be the highest restaurant in Oregon 'The Summit Grill' at the upper tramway station.
