The Wipers, to everyone locally. Great music pub with safe enclosed garden for the kids. In a part of town with not great access for those with buggies or wheelchairs.

This pub is situated within the gun gardens and Ypres castle, which you can visit for a small free to see Rye’s oldest prison. Gun gardens are free. The pub is located just down the steps from the gardens and has the biggest beer garden in Rye.

Locally known as ' The Wipers', you will find it below the Gun Gardens in Rye. Enjoy some good ales and a lunch or dinner, large portions and fairly priced. The garden overlooks the river estuary of Rye. This pub fits in well with your visit to St Marys Church or Rye Castle (Ypres Tower).
