No visit to Port Macquarie would be complete without a visit to Kooloonbung Creek Nature Park, which includes the Historic Cemetery. Covering some 52 hectares, the Kooloonbung Creek Nature Park has been developed to preserve an area of natural bushland with walking tracks and boardwalks where visitors can wander and enjoy the beauty of the area with its various eco-systems.

There is a lovely walk along the creek which is cleared and in places paved or on wooden walkways. Great place to see the huge, 'flying fox' colony - Australia's largest flying mammal (bats)!
