Tips from locals
Local sandwich shop featuring fresh bread and local ingredients. Has a small selection of beer and wine, and an outdoor dining patio.
Lunch a little out of the way, but if you want to explore Exeter, which is like a mini Portsmouth, a good stop for home made bread, healthy and tasty big sandwiches and home made soup items. Nice outdoor seating area under trees and by the sidewalk. 33 Water St. Exeter
No better place to get soup, salad or a sandwich. Everything is made right there.

“Ocean Boulevard Rye, NH 03870 10.4 mi (24 mins) A surfer favorite. This medium sized beach extends to town beaches for a long walk and is cleaned of seaweed every morning. There’s a sandwich shop across the street.”

“A little further out of town, but if you have a car (you can Uber too) and a hankering for good, authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go. ”

“One word: "Seafood". Whether it's lobster, sushi, raw oysters or classic fish and chips you're after, this is THE place to go to satisfy your seafood craving. And the ambience is killer- great atmosphere and right on the water, just above Martingale Wharf. Some of our fave dishes: Lobster Sara, Wicked Awesome Tuna rolls, Fried Tomato and Bacon salad and Parmesan-fried Calamari. Disclaimer: Beware the Oyster shooters!”
