Only two Presidents of The United States were inaugurated outside of Washington, D.C. Lyndon B. Johnson was sworn in aboard Air Force one after the assassination of JFK and Theodore Roosevelt was sworn in here in Buffalo, NY after William McKinley was killed during the Pan American Exposition of 1901.

If you're into Teddy Roosevelt this place is AWESOME. He was inaugurated into his presidency here in Buffalo when President McKinley was assassinated.
