A treasure of Tucson, the botanical gardens is 5 1/2 acres of gardens of all kinds! They have butterfly magic in the spring where you can watch butterflies break out of their cocoons and fly for the first time!
This garden is beautiful, even when the weather gets hot because it has a ton of shade. There is a cute little cafe/restaurant on site as well, and they serve a good breakfast/brunch.
There are many plants native to Arizona, beyond cactus. A trip to the Botanical Gardens is a place to relax and enjoy nature. Make sure to check out their website to find out when the butterfly exhibit is in town. For an additional fee, you get to walk through an enclosed area where butterflies are…
You'd never know from the outside and from the urban location, but this is a hidden gem that's quite close to Seneca Casitas. It's a great place to walk around and have lunch.
