If you are in Norway for the first time, you might not know that Norwegians are obsessed with bread and baked goods. It can almost be difficult to find the normal white, ready cut bread that the rest of the world associates with bread. As we say in Norway "ta deg en bolle", translated directly to "Take a bun", often said it a comical maner when asking someone to relax or calm down. But hey, why not? The big buns with raisins or cinnamon knots are delicious and the bread is national treasure. Just be aware, even if you see Norwegian adults and toddlers gobbling buns, the prices can be harder to swallow.
