Tips from locals
Feel the lay of the land by walking the trail down to the Eno River and back up to the historic home!
Not really a museum but a home preserved from the 1700's. Gorgeous grounds- fantastic spot to take a picnic and enjoy good weather or take a peaceful stroll on the Poet's Walk down by the Eno River.
Pleasant walk through an historic estate and along the Eno River. Great for dogs. No public bathrooms.
Old plantation house. Connects with Occoneechee Speedway race track and River Walk.

“One of two locations -- neither to be missed and both listed with us. This is the Hillsborough location -- in the heart of downtown. Grocery shop here if you can. Local organic foods, and a large take-out buffet that you can eat on-site.”

“Upscale bar food and great beer list. It's mostly burgers and wings - but its all homemade and they use meat from their own local farm. Great rotating draft beer list! ”
