Sure they sell great stuff, but the general zaniness of this shop makes it a must. So rain or shine you should stop by this amazing vintage shop at some point during your trip. Eclectic does not even begin to describe it and the food at the attached cafe (not to mention ice cream!!) is simple and filling.

This place is a trip back in time plus the owner is authentically crazy (be careful he sometimes loses it and yells at tourists. Buy some penny candy and chat with his long suffering wife. She make AMAZING apple pie. Buy the whole pie or just a slice (1/4 pie!) there is local controversy surrounding the claims that this family has continually owned this place as another family claims it was theirs, closed for years and reopened by this one.

Check out the turn of the century general store on Old Mission Peninsula, grab some food from their deli, and then stop by the Dougherty Historic Home Site just down the road. It is an archeological dig showcasing the life and family home of the founder of the Old Mission. To volunteer or get hours of operation go to: oldmissionhouse.com

A quirky little store that has Moomers ice cream. A must if your in the area. Great sandwiches if your not in a hurry.
