Elmore State Park has a fire tower hike with views of all the surrounding peaks. On a clear day, you can see to the white mountains, green mountains, & Adirondacks.

Hikers can park on the Beach Rd parking lot without paying entrance fee to the park then walk up the access road (or pay park fee to drive up) to the trail head. Great hike to the fire tower with amazing views. Make it a longer hike by looping on trail by Balancing Rock and along that ridge line. In the summer you can cool off with a swim in the lake. In the winter months this is one of our favorite backcountry ski tours!
