A day hike that's right in town and always has plenty of free parking. I enjoy this trailhead, because you can choose how far or how difficult you want the hike to be. Sometimes I just like to grab a coffee and stay on the lower trails to enjoy the views of the mountains and the city below. The natural history museum and red Butte gardens are also located here and make for great day trips, as well!

Great short hike with overlook of Salt Lake City. Follow trails right and up. Hike till you find furniture made of rock slabs.

Titled the “living room” trail, this hike leads to an open area with rock formations that some say looks like living room furniture. It also provides lovely views that overlook the valley, and beautiful sightseeing along the way. Note it is an intermediate-level hike.
