The World’s Fair Marina is a public marina located at the northern edge of Flushing Meadows-Corona. Conveniently located right off the Grand Central Parkway, this public marina is just north of Citi-Field, home to the MLB’s New York Metropolitans, as well as the USTA National Tennis Center, home of the U.S. Open. Originally a boat basin built in 1939 for the World’s Fair, Robert Moses expanded construction of the marina for the 1964 New York World’s Fair to help accommodate over 800 boats.
