This really is worth a visit, 25 mins by car from Girona. Head out eastwards from Girona -C-66 road. It feels like you’re walking back into the Medieval past

“Beautiful spot at the mouth of the longest river that starts and ends in Catalunya. The end of the 250 km Ruta Del Ter (a cycling and walking route linking two poles of attraction, the Pyrenees and the Costa Brava, via an itinerary following the course of the River Ter and crossing five Catalan countries) offers a great starting point for a long hike, fishing, swimming or just laying around on a beach miles from the built up areas.”
