Tips from locals
The birthplace of Christianity the Abbey is a beautiful, spiritual building. Iona is also a haven for artists as the scenery and beaches are outstanding.
Beautiful peaceful Island off the coast of Mull with a lovely Abbey, coral white beaches and azure blue waters. Best to book an all inclusive trip from Oban that meets the ferry at Craignure and most drivers will give you a great insight & commentary on the island too.
Drive across Mull and visit the Island of Iona, see the famous Abbey, the white beaches, the astonishing light, and also Fingals Cave (yes, where Mendelssohn went) and quite possible see seals, dolphins, eagles, on the way.
