Mt Cootha is a great site to visit for a day out, with a beautiful botanic garden at the bottom and amazing views at the top, it's a favourite among photographers and travellers. There's a cafe at the top which do great ice cream as well.

Imagine a sea of twinkling lights and a breathtaking view of one of Australia’s best cities! The MT Coo-tha lookout is a great place to spend a few hours gazing at the wonders of Brisbane City. There are also picnic and barbeque spots that can be used for a family’s day out in the sun. If you’re up to it, take the Aborginal art Trail that gives an interesting peek into their art and culture. A lovely escape from the demanding city life!

Its a visual thing. You can view the whole of the city from this vantage point and to make it more enjoyable there is a restaurant. Just a thing you do when you come to Brisbane. Also close to Indooroopilly and quite close to the Botanical Garden so you could visit both in a day.

Amazing views of Brisbane city with iconic ice-cream shop and restaurants up the top. Lots of bush trails for those who want to hike around the mountain.

The popular Mt Coot Tha Lookout is possibly Brisbane's best overall lookout point, offering panoramic 360° views that extend all the way out to Moreton Island and the Lamington ranges on clear days. An essential visit for all first-time visitors to Brisbane, Mt Coot Tha is reachable within a 15 minute drive from the CBD, with the drive itself also being quite pleasant. The lookout clocks in at 287m in height. There's plenty of space from which to get a clear view of the city and its surrounds despite its popularity, so be sure to bring your camera along for the trip to get some unmatched travel photos of Brisbane's skyline.
