take a trip over to rock island for a day- swim, hike, picnic, sightsee. its just a 15 minute ferry ride but it feels a world way with no motor vehicles present on the island. ferry tickets can be purchased at the main islander ferry ticket book or by cash upon arrival at the docks.

Its just you and your pup----no cars and no stores! It doesn't get much better than that! Hop on the short ferry ride from Washington Island over to Rock Island State Park. There are several miles of hiking trails through wooded uplands for exploring

If you’re looking to Island hop, Rock Island is an uninhabited state park one Island over from us! It’s a beautiful state park and would be a nice day-long adventure. Check out the lighthouse, go to the beach, and hike around the island. Stay on paths as poison ivy is everywhere there! To get to the park, you have to take the Karfi walk-on ferry.

Rustic campsites, hiking trails, beach for swimming and miles of the beautiful beautiful rock filled shoreline to explore. Nothing like it!
