Coffee/Food/Bar/Restaurant and live music! Their motto is "no crap on tap" as they have a great beer selection. They also have food like hummus and sandwiches.

GREAT long list of tap beers (many local), good food (some vegan), and even coffee! Free live music most nights, and wireless during the day. Patio seating available in summer.

“The Southern Theater’s mission is to foster a community of exceptional artists. Built in 1910 as a cultural center and vaudeville theater for the burgeoning Scandinavian community centered around Cedar Avenue the Southern has been re-established as a center for contemporary performing arts over the past quarter-century. A distinctive proscenium arch frames the well-preserved brick walls perfect for presenting dance and theater.”

Indian Restaurant
“Unique and Authentic Indian Food- this place has Indian food like no other I have tasted. Very different from what I expected but delicious. Tucked next to the Cedar Cultural Center sits Malabari Kitchen, a cozy little restaurant that serves South Indian food with big flavor. The only restaurant in Minnesota specializing in Kerala cuisine, Malabari Kitchen’s home style cooking features a rich array of spices and focuses on using only natural ingredients.”
