Why locals recommend it

A large park in the center of the city, this forest has many pathways that run through it. The vegetation is lush, with plants hanging from the trees, especially malangas. It's like stepping from the city into a jungle. It’s common to come across people dressed in white performing rituals to honor Yemayá, an Afro-Cuban deity. The best way to get to the forest is to take an inexpensive shared taxi on Calle 23.

Enjoy the forest like in a movie of Robin Hood. If you take a ride in an Old Fashion Car you will have the chance to admire this forest.

It is a forest in the same Havana, in the outskirts where it seems that time has stopped with that vegetation and those trees so characteristic and typical of the area, really a good place to rest, make some good photos and relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Address: Almendares River and 23 Avenue, Havana, Cuba.
