Much of St Mary's Church is was built in the 8th century, when Deerhurst was part of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia. Odda's Lodge @ The Stables is just across the road from here.

Very old and beautiful church. Legendary location of the "Deerhurst Serpent" which apparently "swallowed up cows and swallowed up goats and occasionally dined on small weasels and stoats..."
