About this place
Le Bernardin, New York's internationally acclaimed four-star seafood restaurant, opened in 1986. Owned by Maguy Le Coze and Chef Eric Ripert, the celebrated restaurant earned a four-star review from The New York Times just three months after opening and has maintained this four-star status for the past thirty years. Le Bernardin currently ranks No. 17 on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and has held three stars from the Michelin Guide since the guide’s 2005 New York launch. The New York Zagat Guide consistently recognizes Le Bernardin as top ranking in the categories of Food, Service, and Popularity. Most recently, Le Bernardin was ranked first in America, second in the world, by La Liste, the global food guide and review aggregator. With a focus on the freshest ingredients prepared simply, at Le Bernardin their mantra says it all: The Fish is the Star of the Plate.
Tips from locals
Nice for a special diner. One of the five NY restaurants with three Michelin stars. $$$$
3 michelin stars restaurant, beautiful and fresh seafood, must book in advance. Eric Ripert is well celebrated and respected and he is an amazing creator.
Still one of the best restaurants in NYC. The only one of the grand old restaurants of 10 years ago that is still at the peak of its powers. The best seafood in New York.
Where fishes die happily ever after in beurre noisette. Respect, Chef Eric Ripert
