Why locals recommend it

This place is Mediterranean meets Middle Eastern, and it’s a great example of what those two cultures have to offer as far as hospitality. It’s like home—I get the same feeling I get when I’m in grandma’s house. You can get a spinach pie for $1.50, so it’s very economical, but like I said, what makes this spot special is the people. I get the chicken kofta on the regular, but you definitely can’t go wrong with the lamb shawarma either.

If you're hungry and don't want to go far try Al Ameer Restaurant. It's Arab owned and operated. It's only 3/10 of a mile down the street.

There are tons of middle eastern restaurant in nearby Dearborn but this one's a favorite. I love babaganoush and they all have spectacular juices/ smoothies. I like honey and carrot.
