Browns Cheese

Why locals recommend it

At this family-run cheese company about an hour north of Nairobi, you can have a delicious lunch in the garden, and join a factory tour to learn all about cheesemaking. They do a kids’ menu, and drinks are included with lunch, including a range of wines. Limuru is the tea farm region, so you can see the tea plantations while in the area. The lunch and tours are only available from Thursdays to Sundays and get booked up quickly, so you’ll need to book a couple of weeks in advance and may need to pay a deposit to secure your booking.

Not really a restaurant - you have to book in advance, but you do a tour of the cheese farm which is interesting and then have a delicious, simple lunch - fixed menu and fixed price. Starter of 8 cheese samples. Set in nice setting.
