Myra is the former name of nowadays Demre which is 45 km east from Kaş on your way to Antalya. You should combine your visit of the Lycian landmark with a visit of St. Niklas cathedral which you will find in downtown Demre.

Myra is an ancient Lycian city located in the region where Kale (Demre) district of Antalya Province is located in today's Turkey. Alacadağ was established on the fertile alluvial plain formed by the soil carried by the Demre Stream (Myros) between Akdağlar (Massikytos) and the Aegean Sea.
